Monochrome outfits are a definite fashion risk, especially an all white look. However, if the look is executed correctly it can look flawless! The colour white has a tendency to wash people out and so we always find that a golden tan is the perfect accessory. In our opinion the key to an all white look is to keep things simple and quite minimal. Dainty jewellery and pearls really complement the look and add a beautiful finishing touch. If you like colour, the best way to incorporate it into your white outfit is by adding a colourful shoe or bag. Make sure not to over do it on the bright accessories though as this will distract from the desired outcome of an understated chic look… just a little hint will do 🙂 We hope you enjoyed today’s post and have learned some valuable information about the art of mastering monochrome! During the week I attended Trinity College fashion show and this is the outfit I donned for the event. I had planned on not wearing any tights but when the night came around it was far too cold to not wear them. I would have been crazy to leave the house without them! I wanted to add something a little different to the outfit so I put these little navy sparkly socks on over my tights. This addition was either going to be a master creation or a complete fail but in the end it turned out that I really liked the look. The outfit is actually a shift dress underneath the fluffy jumper. I love the pocket detail on the dress as it gives the look a kind of sixties feel. Needless to say once I was inside at the event this jumper kept me lovely and cosy all night long.
