Now that we both have some free time on our hands expect more posts on Stride with Pride (cue cheering). On another note, how fabulous is Leandra Medine of the Man Repeller’s style? So fabulous that we’ve included two of her looks in this post alone. We love her fun and daring approach to fashion. She is truly unique. So, starting from today I am going to introduce a new idea on the blog called ‘Look of the week’. The title is pretty much self-explanatory! Basically every week I will share a look from during the week which I loved. To start the ball rolling, the first ‘Look of the week’ goes to Jamie Chung. Jamie wore this neutral outfit to the Nars 20th anniversary party. I adore this look and I love how she finished it off with burgundy lips, it really brings the whole outfit together. Bonus points to Jamie !
That’s all for today . Talk soon Xx Elle
Last Friday (4th April) was my final day as a second year in university. Where on earth did that year go!? Of course I still have exams, in three weeks to be precise Wwish me luck, Eeeek!!) but it was the official end to lectures for the college year. It is tradition that every year, on the last day of term, the Trinity Ball takes place. However even though it is called a ball it isn’t your typical long gown kind of event. Boys must dust down their tuxes for the evening but most girls wear more of a cocktail style dress. I would describe the event as a formal nighttime festival if you can imagine what that might look like ! The guys are lucky because as I said they must wear a black suit but it can be a little more difficult for us girls to try and find the right balance between your debs style dress and your daytime summer dress. I searched online for quite a bit before I narrowed my decision down to this dress and one other. In the end I opted for this Asos dress because as I mentioned in my previous posts I am a sucker for a stand out pattern. And, seeing as we are now into the brighter Spring days I also wanted to add a bit of colour to my outfit. I am delighted that I chose this dress as I know I will get lots of wear out of it in the coming months too! What do you guys think of the look ? That’s all for today.
